Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on Tuesday (April 26) launched L’Oreal Paris’ Infallible Cannes 2016 Collection as both celebrated significant milestones – the cosmetic brand completing 19 years of being a make-up partner to the most prestigious event in global cinema, while the actress marked 15 years of representing India at the Festival De Cannes. “It is an absolute privilege to represent L’Oreal Paris and India in particular, at a platform that honours world cinema and beauty in equal measure. 15 years with Cannes have gone by in a flash and the journey has been immensely humbling and beautiful,”said Aishwarya Rai. - 

“I’ve treasured every moment at Cannes and I’m ever so thankful to L’Oreal Paris, members of the Indian and world media, my well-wishers and my family for always making this such a memorable experience. I’m looking forward to now creating some Infallible moments at the French Riviera with my L’Oreal family of amazing make up technicians and my co-ambassadors,” she said on the occasion. In an afternoon dedicated to glamour and style, the actress unveiled her signature look for the grand event. L’Oreal Paris also announced that Aishwarya would be attending the event on May 13 and 14, while Sonam Kapoor would be present on May 15 and 16. -

Actress Sunny Leone, who will soon be seen in the forthcoming thriller “One Night Stand”, believes that women should speak up and stand up for themselves.

Sunny, who was here in the capital to promote the Jasmine Moses D’souza directorial on Wednesday, shared her experience on women empowerment and opined that being able to take small decisions is the first step in the pursuit of becoming independent.

“When you talk about women empowerment, I can share my own experience. My parents have always told me you have to be independent. We must tell women to speak up. “It’s not about waking up and saying, ‘Today I am going to do it’. It is about small decisions. You should be able to say to your boyfriend or husband that I am not washing the dishes tonight, you can do it… Little things add upto you becoming a stronger person like both my parents shared duties,” the 34-year-old added.

Written by Bhavani Iyer, the film also features actors Nyra Banerjee and Tanuj Virwani in lead roles.

The music for the film is composed by Jeet Gannguli, Meet Bros, Tony Kakkar and Vevek Kar while the background score is composed by Sandeep Shirodkar.
